As you may or may not remember, for many years Yellow was the pinnacle of the the Tokyo dance music scene.

A complex venue, filled with mysterious passages and people, a deep sound with a strong bass kick, the prefect light and a cool staff, which left you completely unaware of the time outside. It was a place that truly suited my personality.

But then, in 2008, seventeen years of Tokyo music history drew to a close, with the fading sounds of Francois K drifting into the distance at the farewell show.

The closure brought despair to the music scene.... it was like the end of school... was this relly a time to graduate from night life?

For me the answer was "no." I stayed in the music and night life scene, and I've been lookign for the best party every weekend. My perseverance paid off, when the news of the reopening of yellow, were carried by word of mouth conversations among all to party denizens of Tokyo.

"Eleven"

That was the name of the new place and the opening party burst back into the scene on the 18th of February.

Congratulations.

I won't say much more, because I'm not much of a writer - I'm more of a photographer, so check these pictures instead and let them tell the story of the feel of the real underground scene in Tokyo!

I haven't been clubbing in a while since Yellow closed down either. I have to check out Eleven some time, looks like things just got a little bit more exciting^^

btw, are you allowed to bring cameras in?

Yeah, you should:) I usually talk with press ppl of the club and get press pass. As you know, taking photograph inside of the club is usually not allowed ;)

Depends on what types of music do you like.
Eleven , Air , Unit , Womb , Ageha , warehouse , those are kind of big clubs.
Module , Amateraxi , loop , soundbar+ are nice small clubs.
But at least you should check the schedule for the first.
I recommend to use RA(Residentadvisor.net) to check the schedule.
