This year, my husband and I visited Sensoji in Asakusa.
Because we moved to Chiba, we are becoming familiar with the east side of Tokyo.
We find it funky enough to explorer. So many more to come.

      These are omikuji - fortune-telling papers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omikuji
      You usually get one at the box near the shrine and then wrap around a special string to make it real.
